Marking the beginning of fall, the autumnal equinox creates a harmonious balance between day and night. The leaves change color, the air cools and the mood turns cozy. By balancing the freshest ingredients from the market with just the right seasonings and sass, you can create tantalizing dishes that are both welcoming and earthy.
Whether birthdays, weddings, holidays or celebrating the change of seasons, it is the ideal time to party both indoors and out. My market list will inspire you to stock up in readiness for cooler days and warmer food.

Fall Parties
Unforgettable Fall Party You’re in for a treat! Here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at wine pairings with cheese and appetizer ideas for an unforgettable Fall party. On a gorgeous Fall day, head to the farmer’s market, (for me it’s New York’s Union Square Farmer’s Market or Chelsea Market), to pick the freshest produce available for the suggested food and tray displays. I love to shop there with fresh veggies and flowers galore and the nicest and hard-working farmers around!
Jewish Holiday Our family "High Holy Day" celebrations always revolve around the traditional meal, good wine, great conversation, Nan playing "Heart and Soul" on the piano with her great-grandchildren and Mom singing Broadway show tunes!
Thanksgiving Feast Hands down this is my favorite family holiday of the year! One year, an older gentleman restaurateur and I stayed up until the wee-hours of the night to create this menu together. We had a ball preparing our festive meal for everyone even though the old-timer put way too much salt in our stuffing!
